SEMICONDUCTOR AND O-TYPE AMPLIFIER INVESTIGATIONS.

Abstract

This contract calls for theoretical and experimental studies of microwave amplifiers and devices aimed ultimately at enhancing such technique for phased array radar application. Status of the following tasks are reported herein: Nonlinear Boundary-Value Problems in Electron and Plasma Devices; Beam Stability in the Presence of Large R-F Signals; Beam Analyzer Studies on Beams Modulated by Large-Amplitude R-F Signals; Digital Computer Electron Gun Programs; Relativistic Traveling-Wave Tube Theory; Helicon Wave Propagation in Solid-State Plasmas; Equivalent Circuits for Solid-State Devices; Instabilities in Solids; Ohmic Contacts on Semiconductors.
