REDUCTION AND COMPILATION OF NAP RADIATION EFFECTS DATA.

Abstract

This is an interim report on the continuing in-house effort to reduce and compile data generated during various irradiation tests of electronic piece parts. Irradiation tests were performed on approximately 1500 electronic piece parts to determine the effects of reactor-produced radiation on their operational characteristics. The devices were subjected to integrated neutron fluxes greater than 10 to the fifteenth power n/sq cm (E>0.5 Mev) and gamma doses in excess of 10 to the eighth power rad (C). The data generated in the above tests have been reduced to approximately six pertinent data points and recorded on computer library file cards and magnetic tape along with information such as piece part application, manufacturer, manufacturing process, etc., concerning each part. A limited retrieval and printout program has been written for in-house study of the collected data. (Author)
