PROPELLANT HAZARDS RESEARCH FACILITY.
Abstract
A facility has been constructed which measures blast overpressure and impulse generated by up to 100-lb propellant acceptors initiated by high explosive donors. Instrumentation is described which measures blast overpressure and impulse at 10 stations. Several gauges for determining blast overpressure and impulse are evaluated. Methods of calibration and data reduction are discussed. Tests made with Composition C-4 are compared with data from TNT. (Author)
