SOME NEW MATHEMATICAL TECHNIQUES IN KINEMATICS,

Abstract

In kinematics problems, the differences between vector equations and their matrix counterparts often cause problems. This is due mainly to the lack of a definition of the cross-product of a column matrix with a square matrix. This report bridges this gap with a suitable definition of this operation. In addition, the techniques for transforming this operation between orthogonal coordinate systems are obtained. This enables the analyst to confidently work with matrix problems. In addition, the writing of computer aided error analyses is simplified. (Author)
