METHOD OF DETERMINING OXYGEN CONSUMPTION IN SALIVA (METHODISCHES ZUR BESTIMMUNG DES SAUERSTOFFVERBRAUCHES IM SPEICHEL).

Abstract

It was desired to cover the salivary respiration of the total number and type of microorganisms that are contained in one ml which are accumulated in one minute in this saliva that is obtained. The saliva must be obtained at 0 degrees or the maximum of +4 degrees C and it must be studied as soon as possible. If reliable results are to be obtained, it appears to be necessary to obtain the saliva specimen from the subject in preliminary tests in an isolation chamber (conditioning) that is appropriately equipped.
