A PARTIAL BIBLIOGRAPHY INSHORE SURVEY PROGRAM ALONG ATLANTIC AND GULF COASTS.
Abstract
The Inshore Survey Program began during the early 1950's. Oceanographic surveys were conducted in the approaches to many U. S. harbors by various universities, oceanographic institutions, government agencies (by contract through the Naval Oceanographic Office), and by the Naval Oceanographic Office. Temperature, salinity, bottom sediment, current, and tide data were obtained, much of which was security classified. Recently, results of some of the surveys were placed in the Library of the Naval Oceanographic Office and made available to the public. This bibliography contains a compilation of reports concerned with the harbors of the Atlantic coast of the United States. (Author)
