INVESTIGATION OF LARGE AREA DENDRITIC WEB TYPE GERMANIUM PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS.

Abstract

Development is described of thermophotovoltaic cells made on germanium web crystal. Heavily doped n-type germanium web of resistivity down to 0.004 ohm-cm has been successfully grown. Of the gallium and indium diffused junctions and the aluminum alloyed junctions which have been fabricated, the diffused junctions have performed best. A 1400 C thermal radiation source for cell testing has also been built. (Author)
