ANION DIFFUSION IN NICKEL AND COBALT OXIDES.

Abstract

The oxygen diffusion coefficients in cobalt oxide and nickel oxide are described by a model in which, for oxygen diffusion to take place, two cation vacancies or two holes are required in addition to the oxygen vacancy. Using this model, it was found that the Schottky product is the same for both cobalt oxide and nickel oxide. (Author)
