ANALYSIS OF THYRISTOR-BASED FREQUENCY SPEED-CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR ALTERNATING-CURRENT MOTORS (ANALIZA ROZWIAZAN CZESTOTLIWOSCIOWEJ REGULACJI PREDKOSCI OBROTOWEJ SILNIKOW PRADU PRZEMIENNEGO ZA POMOCA UKLADOW TYRYSTOROWYCH).

Abstract

The paper describes the general characteristics of systems for frequency control of speed in alternating-current motors and discusses the requirements applying to them with respect to range of control, dynamic properties, efficiency and reliability. Next, typical solutions are set forth for this type of system using thyristors; designs for multistage inverters are described and output-voltage oscillograms are presented. (Author)
