THE DEVELOPMENT OF MICROELECTRONIC ELECTRONICALLY TUNED RECEIVER TUNER.

Abstract

The purpose of the program is to design an electronically tuned, VHF receiver tuner in accordance with ECDD No. EL-CP0000-0054A, 20 March 1967, implementing advanced microelectronic techniques. Two developmental (feasibility) models will be fabricated and tested to ensure compliance with the performance requirements. During this first quarter, various experimental preselector and mixer circuits were designed, breadboarded, tested, and evaluated on the basis of the test results. A front-end design, consisting of a passive, voltage-tuned preselector followed by a double-balanced mixer, was selected to provide freedom from overload at high input-levels. (Author)
