AIR TRANSPORTABILITY TESTING OF THE BTV UNIT.

Abstract

Static pull tests were performed on the BTV (Big Test Vehicle) unit and its bolster to establish the optimum tiedown configuration and determine the maximum allowable weight for the combination when transported in the C-133 aircraft. Results of the tests indicated that a gross weight of 38,800 pounds is transportable. (Author)
