FORESHORTENED CENTER-FED VHF ANTENNA.

Abstract

The final report describes the design and development effort for a Foreshortened Center-Fed VHF Antenna to satisfy the requirements of Electronics Command Technical Requirements No. SCL-4734., dated 17 March 1966. The report presents the basic objectives of a foreshortened center-fed antenna for vehicle VHF communications and the development effort expended. The Foreshortened Center-Fed VHF Antenna developed results in a third generation of center-fed ground independent antennas. This type of antenna provides optimum decoupling from a vehicle frame, resulting in minimal pattern and impedance effects. (Author)
