RESEARCH ON HIGH POWER TRANSDUCER CERAMICS: DEVELOPMENT OF LOW-AGING COMPOSITIONS FOR SONAR APPLICATIONS.

Abstract

The object of the work was to develop compositions with high drive characteristics comparable to those of PZT-4 and having improved stability of dielectric constant with time. Compositions are described with greatly improved aging characteristics but with slightly lower levels of planar coupling factor than PZT-4. At stresses up to 10 kpsi, they show great improvements in stability of properties. With exposure to stress in the range 15 to 20 kpsi properties degrade. (Author)
