MULTI-CARRIER RADIO COMBINING TECHNIQUE.

Abstract

To determine the optimum method of multi-carrier combining and transmitting, two major schemes were examined: (A) Frequency Division Multiplexing, (B) Polarization Marking Multiplexing. Frequency Division Multiplexing consists of adding and transmitting four off-set frequency carriers, each modulated by a different baseband signal. Polarization Marking Multiplexing uses the same RF bandwidth to transmit different carriers on orthogonally polarized radio waves. (Author)
