AIRPORT SUITABILITY REPORT. FIFTEEN MAJOR DOMESTIC U.S. AIRPORTS

Abstract

This document was prepared as a part of the Supersonic Transport (SST) contract. The objective was to evaluate the suitability of fifteen selected domestic U. S. airports to accommodate the Boeing 2707. The various compatibility aspects of the study were calculated and results superimposed over aerial photographs of the various airports and their terminals. Cost estimates necessary to upgrade the airports to a state of minimum compatibility with the SST are also displayed.
