ELECTRON-IONIZATION CROSS SECTIONS.
Abstract
Pulse-standardizing electronics for calibrating the electron multiplier output were put in operation. It was determined that the cause of the poor quadrupole-spectrometer resolution was warped rods. Another quadrupole lens has been designed. A new method of making ionization chambers was devised which will permit use of larger electron and molecular beams and may be cleaned in situ by high-temperature flashing. (Author)
