SHOCK TESTING FACILITIES.

Abstract

The report describes the shock-testing facilities available at the Naval Ordnance Laboratory for simulating the effects of shocks experienced by various types of ordnance (mines, torpedoes, and projectiles, for example) under service conditions. The capabilities and limitations of the equipment are set forth as a guide for planning purposes. This information is not intended to be restrictive; shock tests not covered in the report may be within the scope of properly modified equipment. (Author)
