MOLECULAR ENGINEERING OF PT-BASED ELECTROCATALYSTS FOR HYDROCARBON FUEL CELL ELECTRODES.

Abstract

The main objective of this work is to correlate the physical parameters of Pt-catalysts of very different characteristics with their activity for anodic propane oxidation. In particular, the effect of specific factors which affect the surface reaction is of interest. Basically, this work has three experimental aspects: (a) preparation of Pt-catalysts of different activity, (b) physical characterization, and (c) electrochemical activity determination.
