MANUFACTURING PROGRAM,

Abstract

The Manufacturing Program Plan describes the contractor's preparation for, and readiness to proceed with, the manufacture, assembly, and test of two 2707 prototype airplanes and the subsequent volume production of supersonic transport airplanes for the world's commercial airlines. The plan will distinguish, as applicable, the difference between the prototype program and the production airplane program. This plan encompasses specific functions and control activities that are required in the total manufacturing spectrum, from implementation of initial producibility studies and raw material receipt through subcontracting support, inplant part fabrication, subassembly, final assembly, preflight testing, and ultimate delivery of the prototype airplanes.
