EFFECTS OF SUCROSE CONCENTRATION ON THE LIFE SPAN OF AEDES ALBOPICTUS UNDER DIURNAL CONDITIONS,

Abstract

Laboratory experiments were conducted to determine the effects of feeding various concentrations of sucrose upon the life span of Aedes (Stegomyia) albopictus (Skuse) in a controlled environment. The life span of the adult, virgin female was not affected by feeding sucrose in concentrations of 0.1 to 1.0 M at 0.1 M increments. (Author)
