STUDY AND DEMONSTRATION OF PAPER PHENOLIC COMPONENTS

Abstract

The structural, thermal and mass properties of convolute-wrapped paper phenolic tubing were determined. This information was used to develop a satisfactory technique for performing a stress analysis for the preliminary design of several rocket devices, and for the detailed design and successful feasibility demonstration firing of a paper phenolic case, M58A2 rocket motor.
