DEVELOPMENT OF A TITANIUM ALLOY FOIL AND SHEET ROLLING PROCESS.

Abstract

The results of this program established the feasibility of producing wide titanium alloy foil to close tolerance and with acceptable mechanical properties. Considerable technology was gained; and if some additional development work were undertaken to eliminate the problems of distortion and contamination during annealing, a reproducible process for the production of high quality wide titanium alloy foil would result.
