DYNAMIC ROCK INSTRUMENTATION SURVEY.

Abstract

The problem of measuring stress, strain, and motion in a dynamically loaded rock environment is considered. A survey of the literature is made and extensions of previous work proposed. Methods are proposed for building new gages, fabricating rock samples, evaluating field gages in the laboratory, and placing the gages in the field. (Author)
