PROJECT FLOOD, REPORT ON DATA COLLECTED BY MINE DIVISION 84 EASTERN LIGURIAN SEA, DECEMBER 1965.
Abstract
During December 1965, Mine Division 84 was engaged in the collection of oceanographic data for Project FLOOD in the eastern Ligurian Sea. These data included bottom sediments, serial temperature and salinity, and Secchi disc water transparency observations. The data are presented in the report along with estimates of their accuracies. A review of the manner in which the observations were made and recorded is also included for the benefit of future participating ships. (Author)
