IMPROVE KA MIXER DIODES FOR USE IN ECM FREQUENCY CONVERTERS.

Abstract

A Semiconductor mixer diode has been developed for operation in the Ka band frequency range according to contract objectives. The device has a capability of withstanding 100 milliwatts of Ka-band CW RF power input. The diode package has dimensional properties so as to be readily mountable in waveguide structure and at the same time with parasitic reactances minimized so as to allow for broadband operation. Measurements on representative samples of the final device were made in a government-furnished frequency converter. (Author)
