Abstract

The report describes the organization, responsibility, functions and ongoing research of the State Institute of Psychology. It is responsible for recruiting, selection, and evaluation of performance of all Dutch civil servants, (except in the Ministry of Defense), foreign service, and other special groups such as for the Dutch Peace Corps and Police. Maintains extensive data bank of applicants and entrants into the civil service. Engages in research to improve selection procedures and developing measurement of criteria of effective performance.
