BULK SEMICONDUCTORS CONTROL CIRCUITRY FOR SOLID STATE DISPLAYS.

Abstract

Properties of electroluminescent display elements and bulk-phenomena semiconductor switching circuits are explored. Definitions of switching requirements for various configurations of semiconductor controlled x-y input, electroluminescent matrices are developed. Measurements are described which define the properties, and problems of various types of bulk-phenomena switches. A description is included of several practical display matrices which utilize conventional semiconductor elements in novel circuits, as is an argument favoring the use of these conventional components.
