HIGH POWER FERRITE GAS DUPLEXER.

Abstract

The report describes the design considerations and fabrication techniques for a high power waveguide ferrite gas duplexer. It was found that the primary problem was the heat transfer through the bonding layer between the ferrite and waveguide wall. Various epoxies and other materials were tested to determine their heat transfer characteristics. The technique of electroforming waveguide directly to the ferrite slabs was investigated but was found to be unreliable. The next best technique, that of indium soldering, was used in designing the final model of the circulator. (Author)
