COMPLEX MIXING MODELS FOR CHEMICAL REACTION SYSTEMS.

Abstract

In the study of reactions in turbulent flow systems the flow is often too complex to allow an analytical description, and one has to employ some simplified flow models to describe the flow. The purpose of the total research effort is to derive some new methods to deal with such cases. The first phase of the work dealt mainly with two problems. One was the study of turbulent flow systems by tracer methods and the second was the establishment of flow models which incorporate the stochastic nature of the flow. The detailed results are reported in five publications and the results are summarized in this report. (Author)
