Abstract

The principal current weight changes reported herein for the Sustainer are due to (1) Adapter revised weight which is based on the Mark III G.E. Nose (-85 lbs.), (2) G. E. Mark III Nose (-600), (3) Harness redesign (-127), (4) Electronic Packaging redesign (-137), (5) GOX in tank re-estimate based on test data (+116), (6) Vertical LO2 Baffles added (+99) and (7) Thrust Cone redesigned, steel to aluminum (-63). For the Booster, principal weight changes are due to (1) Aft Radiation Shields revised estimate based on 'D' estimate (+118), (2) Propulsion change based on NAA MA-3 Specification R638S (-112).
