ATLAS RELIABILITY TESTING PROGRAM 'SEARCH FOR CRITICAL WEAKNESSES' ON 'A' SERIES MISSILEBORNE COMPONENTS,

Abstract

The purpose of the Search for Critical Weakness Program is: To determine the weakest element of each Atlas missileborne component while operating under simulated flight environments. To determine the relative test reliability of all missileborne components tested. To establish the safety margin inherent in each component based on both its operating accuracy and ability to withstand flight specification environments. To correct these weaknesses and institute corrective action thru the cognizant Design Groups. (Author)
