VERBAL AND NON-VERBAL MEASURES OF OPERATIONAL LAUNCH CREW PERFORMANCE(TD-58-0109),

Abstract

In order to implement TD 58-0109 (Crew Procedures Research and Trainer Development Program) a series of preliminary verbal and non-verbal measures of the efficiency of operational launch crew performance were developed. These include: (1) Observer checklist--responses to equipment stimuli, to other crew members, and to self-induced stimuli; (2) Rating scales; (3) Measures of communications adequacy; (4) Subjective opinion revealed in debriefing sessions.
