DESIGN SYNOPSIS AIRCRAFT HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS,
Abstract
This design synopsis of aircraft hydraulic systems is intended to convey to designers computation data and information concerning applicable specifications. Design, installation and construction of the hydraulic systems in military aircraft is governed by Specification MIL-H-5440 (Hydraulic Systems; Design, Installation and Tests of Aircraft) and a large number of detail specifications referenced therein. These specifications are not mandatory for commercial aircraft but the wise designer will use them unless they involve a severe weight or cost penalty. (Author)
