FACILITIES DESIGN CRITERIA FOR LAUNCH OPERATIONS BUILDING FAIRCHILD SQUADRON ONE,

Abstract

This report presents facilities design criteria for the Launch Operations Buildings of Fairchild Squadron One. The purpose of this report is to provide design criteria for architect-engineer preparation of USAF standard construction drawings and specifications and subsequent review for functional and technical adequacy. The predominant basic ground rules for Squadron One are: (a) The sites will be hard (capable of functioning properly after a near-miss by a nuclear weapon). (b) The sites will be as austere (from the standpoint of cost) as the operational requirements will permit. (Author)
