EXTERNAL LOADS AND REACTIONS DUE TO GROUND HANDLING CONDITIONS FOR XSM-65D-R AND D MISSILE,

Abstract

All loads (with the exception of the stretch and the auxiliary support thrust) on the load points tabulated in this summary are reactive loads on the missile. The applied loads that cause these reactions are tabulated. There are three tables in this summary. The first table gives the maximum loads, that occur at each ground handling load point, the condition causing this load and references the page that describes the applied loads for this condition. The second and third tables expound on the first, in that, they give the loads that occur at all ohther load points while the maximum load is occuring on the one in question. The second table is concerned with loads when the maximum load is negative while the third table covers the positive maximum load conditions. The maximum kick - strut load is 30,000 lb. and it varies with missile rise. (Author)
