CORRELATION OF THEORY AND EXPERIMENT ON STAGNATION POINT HEAT TRANSFER RATES TO CYLINDERS AND SPHERES

Abstract

The report presents a comparison between a simplified equation for stagnation point heat transfer and the experimental results of an investigation on heating rates to cylinders and spheres subjected to flame impingement from a 1/10-scale model of an Atlas vernier engine, carried out under contract No. AF- 04(645)-4.
