Abstract
Operation of the Launcher Release Cylinders on the launchers at AFMTC has resulted in extreme galling of the rod. The objectives of this test were to evaluate various combinations of Rod and Cylinder Head bearing surfaces and finishes for galling tendencies. (Author)
