RANGE SAFETY COMMAND SYSTEM CHECKOUT DESCRIPTION AND PLAN,

Abstract

This document provides a description of: (1) the XSM-65D, Missile Range Safety Command System, and (2) the associated system checkout as performed with the 27-5054 Missile Systems Checkout Trailer. The Range Safety Command System (Missileborne) consists of dual UHF Receivers, the input of which are ring-coupled to four antennas. Receipt of an audio tone coded FM signal, from a ground based transmitter, effects operation of the receiver output relays to cutoff propellant, destruct the missile or both. (Author)
