WAVEGUIDE, WAVEGUIDE CIRCUITS AND ANTENNA RESEARCH STUDY.

Abstract

Measurements of the response of a beam waveguide resonator for each of the first eight modes were made in order to compare them with the predicted responses. The loaded, unloaded and unloaded uncoupled Q's were also determined and compared with predicted values. The field distribution in the x-direction for each of the first eight modes of the resonator was calculated with the aid of an IBM-1620 computer. A method for predicting the probe depth required for critical coupling was also developed. (Author)
