LEAKAGE TESTS ON QUAD II AND IV PANEL PNEUMATIC DISCONNECT COUPLINGS,

Abstract

An investigation was made to determine the effect and extent of the following conditions on coupling leakage: (a) Disconnect panel, ground half, mated non-parallel to missile half; (b) Misalignment and motion of panel under pressurization loads; (c) Coupling and flex hose misalignment and restraint. The investigation also determined the maximum tolerance of couplings for non-parallel panel alignment and deflection values of the panels when the disconnect couplings are pressurized. (Author)
