A UNIVERSAL FORMULA FOR THE CALCULATION OF UNDERWATER PRESSURE IN ACOUSTIC STUDIES.

Abstract

An equation is presented that makes it possible, from the knowledge of depth and latitude only, to calculate the absolute pressure in the oceans with sufficient accuracy for use in underwater acoustics. The equation has a universal use, with the exception of the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea, for which separate equations are given. (Author)
