LANDLINES INSTRUMENTATION INSTALLATION.

Abstract

The purpose of this document is to present the Landlines Instrumentation Support Plan for the entire Atlas missile program. The plan is to provide a means for collecting a large quantity of measurement data (dynamic measurements during static, simulated and actual firing) from the test missiles; to correlate and record test information for further processing at a central data reduction center and to provide for a clear analysis of same. Equipment described in this document is designed for the needs of the test program, yet is capable of being modified as dictated by subsequent test program requirements and firm operational planning. Because tests may vary considerably within short periods, the system has been designed to provide the utmost flexibility and to allow changes and/or additions to certain equipment without extensive alterations. Due to the variety of signals and responses, the recording and instrumentation equipment is sufficiently varied to insure optimum results in collecting and recording data. Individual parts of the system are housed in separated structures and the system is a completely integrated unit.
