Procedures were developed by which D-43 tubing was drawn in 60 foot lengths to 0.125-inch ID x 0.006 inch wall. Starting with redraw stock 0.250 inch ID x 0.030 inch wall, the tubing was drawn in a nine-pass schedule which included one intermediate anneal and one solution-and-age treatment. Techniques were also established for lubricating, stripping, and cleaning these long tube lengths. (Author)
