THEORY OF NUMBERS: SIEVE METHODS AND COMBINATORIAL MATHEMATICS.

Abstract

Some new results in sieve methods are reported as well as an improvement on a result of Vinogradov. Based upon one fundamental theorem, a number of theorems are proven concerning some problems in combinatorial number theory and regular square designs. In addition, some simpler proofs are found for some previous results of R. Baer on polarities in finite projective planes. (Author)
