MICROWAVE SOLID-STATE DEVICE STUDIES.

Abstract

The objectives are to investigate theoretically and experimentally new solid state phenomena and techniques having application to microwave generation, amplification, and control. Current tasks under this program include: Microwave noise emission from InSb; Instabilities in germanium; Equivalent circuits for solid-state devices; Gun effect amplifiers; Transverse and magnetic field effects in semiconductors; Avalanche-diode devices; Structures for microwave integrated circuits; Helicon waves in semiconductors; Analysis of dispersion relations; Solid-state device construction.
