PBI FIBER PROCESSES.

Abstract

The purpose of the project was to (a) further develop and improve the economics of the processes for the production, spinning, and after-processing of polybenzimidazole (PBI), (b) investigate possible thermal, actinic, and moisture stabilizers, (c) produce specified quantities of yarn, and (d) revise the projected economics of a 1 MM lb/yr production plant.
