STUDIES IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS THEORY.

Abstract

Selected research results obtained during an investigative study on statistical communications and processing are presented. A message-delay approach to communication net design is examined in some detail. More condensed reports are given for results in: representation theory for finite-state channel models; asymptotic performance evaluations for nonparametric signal detectors based on local rank correlations and polarities; determination of error probability exponent for a coding and decoding scheme used with a feedback channel structure.
