PROBLEMS RELATING TO AMIDO-DERIVATIVES OF METALS AND METALLOIDS. VOLUME II. THE CHEMISTRY OF AMIDO-DERIVATIVES OF TITANIUM, ZIRCONIUM, AND HAFNIUM.

Abstract

The chemistry of amido-derivatives of titanium, zirconium and hafnium of the type (M(NR2)4, where R = Me or Et, was studied. The various reactions of these amido derivatives that were explored may be classified as follows: (1) reactions with active-hydrogen compounds; (2) insertion reactions; (3) amination reactions; (4) polymerization reactions; and, (5) miscellaneous reactions. New derivatives were characterized by elemental analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and mass spectroscopy. (Author)
