1 KW K SUB U-BAND PULSED COAXIAL MAGNETRON.
Abstract
The report describes the accomplishments during the fourth quarter of this two year program. The evaluation of the two tubes constructed during this report period verifies that the temperature coefficient requirements of this program have been achieved. Sufficient magnetic field was obtained in these devices with permanent magnets and each tube satisfied all of the electrical performance requirements of the program with the exception of load stability. During the testing of these magnetrons variation in output power was observed with time. The cause of this variation has not been determined. Life testing exceeded the 500 hour level during this report period. (Author)
