HIGH PERFORMANCE FUEL CELL.

Abstract

The objective of this contract is to develop the technology required for a high performance H2 - O2 fuel cell system for future Air Force space vehicle applications. During this reporting period, progress was made on the development of a lightweight, internal liquid-cooled fuel cell stack. Test and evaluation of two 28-volt stacks, and four small stacks of various designs was completed. One 28-volt unit, of intermediate weight magnesium-plate design passed shock, vibration and acceleration tests and was operated for over 900 hours. (Author)
